Stay Alert!

Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8, NLT).

Satan is a bully.

He loves to intimidate us.

His native language is lies.

His goal is to destroy our lives.

When we fail … when we give in to his lies and his plans, the result is always destruction and guilt. And oh, how guilt can absolutely paralyze us! We might as well just hand Satan the key to our lives and choose a cell. He becomes the jailer and we become his prisoner.

That is NOT God’s plan … or the desire of His heart!

More important than where you have been or even where you are, is where you are headed. Don’t wait until you have it all figured out. That won’t happen this side of Heaven.

Don’t wait until you think you are good enough. You never will be.

Step up to the plate and be the imperfect you; allowing God’s perfection to shine through each and every imperfection in your life. Do not listen to the doubts and lies of Satan. His goal is to render you helpless and defeated, no longer a threat to him or his kingdom.

Take a deep breath.

Turn your eyes and heart upon Jesus.

Trust the power of God’s truth.

And tell Satan, “Not today, Satan. Not today. And tomorrow is not looking any better!”

Blessings!

Mary
